Training Unit is responsible for maintaining certification and providing state-mandated training, in-service training and other professional development for members of the East Windsor Police Department.

• Unit responsibilities include:
• Coordinating and conducting training activities
• Analyzing and evaluating training requirements
• Reviewing and processing employee training request forms.
• Developing and instituting training plans for the Department.
• Maintaining and updating our online training tracker, CertAssist.

Many of our officers are certified police instructors by the Police Officer Standards Training Council (POSTC) in specific curriculum areas and play a vital role in ensure we not only meet but exceed training standards.
